I feel like people who are constantly angry towards everyone else is because they’re letting their issues from another situation get in the middle of what they’re currently dealing with, as if they’re not present. I’ve learned to realize that what I went through in the past, has nothing to do with what I am dealing with in the present. it’s like when they tell you to leave your personal problems outside of work… I believe that rule applies to life in general, literally with every situation you’re dealing with.
We tend to victimize ourselves and get overly dramatic with what we’re going through, I say “we” because I have a tendency to fall into that category sometimes as well. Instead of viewing our circumstances as a challenge we can defeat, we let the weight of it, pile up on our shoulders and we feel like we can’t really go onward with the world; things become unbearable and we break down.
I’m not implying that this is absolutely unacceptable, things happen, so I get it, sometimes it can really feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders; it’s not wrong or bad to feel this way at all; sometimes whatever we’re going through, could possibly be the worst thing that’s happening to us and the only way to deal with it is by letting it consume us for a while; specially if it’s a first-time for us. I know that when I broke up with my first boyfriend, I literally felt like my world was crashing down and my life was a complete failure; I am not sure how I will feel when I experience this again, but what I do know is that second-time experiences don’t feel as bad at the first.
Sometimes, when I witness situations, people come off just very angry, aggressive and like they’re dealing with problems. They might not even realize what they’re doing, because they’re so consumed by their drama that they just get blind sided. I mean, we are the star of our own lives, so I understand why we do take everything we go through to another level; but I honestly believe this is where failure occurs; we don’t take our misfortunes as challenges, instead we let them get the best of us until life, literally, flies by us; and people begin to grow physically, but mentally, they’re either the same, or way behind their age years; they just still love what young people love to do, and I don’t mean partying, because there is nothing wrong with having a good time, but I mean starting more drama, and gossiping about things that don’t concern you.
when we’re young, we don’t know any better, but when we have years under our belts, it’s sad, disappointing and pathetic.
Can you try to view your circumstances as challenges you believe you can achieve? can you view them as obstacles you’re excited to conquer? How awesome and radiating to see someone who is positively accepting of their circumstances, that they’re aware it’s not the end, that they believe they can succeed and have absolute faith in the fact that their circumstances have no definition in who they really are and who they’re meant to be.
I’d love to be surrounded by people who think this way.
