I think I’m pretty a pretty awesome human being.Whether you agree or not.
I know that I don’t have to prove myself to anybody to know that I’m awesome, and the opinions of a person of me won’t change my awesomeness value.
This is how we should all see ourselves, I think.
The other night I was hanging out a couple of friends at a restaurant, and one of them (the youngest) decided to get the most spiciest wings there was to prove to another friend (the oldest) that they were “a man”.
It was a bit frustrating because the entire time I watched his red, teary eyed face, struggle to eat those really hot/spicy wings.
I told him to get a cup of milk to swallow them down.
His answer was, “no, I’m a man now.”
My response to that was, “you’re a man whether you eat the wings or not, eating them doesn’t determine who you are”
Obviously, he didn’t listen, he kept chuckling and repeating, “I’m a man.”
Anything you do or don’t do doesn’t give you a title, and any title you have doesn’t determine your worth is what I am trying to say, whatever view you have on yourself is just that, a point of view.
If you think you’re the greatest human being on earth, than you already are because you think you are, not because you did something to prove yourself to a person to determine your worth.
Only you can determine your value, not someone else.
